That's the headboard of my dreams!

I was just over at Desire to Inspire and was so happy to see the headboard concept of my dreams! Although I would leave out the canopy thingy. The shape is even similar...the colors and patterns remind me of the pile of tapestries I still have from my deadhead days and the rest of the bed is white...perfection!

Well I was over there I also saw a peony photo that i thought I would share as well...go figure, peonies caught my eye!

Alligator Alley

I have an odd fascination with Alligators, don't get me wrong, they terrify me...but they are still pretty cool. Did you see Lake Placid when Betty White (who is great in that flick) raised the Crocodiles (close enough) to ginormous proportions? Check it out if you haven't...

As I have been having so much fun with etsy recently, I'll give another go of it:

1. Makes Me Wonder Necklace by Manic Trout
2. Garrett Gator by marleyungaro
3. Small Florida Alligator by SugarSnapshots
4. Looker by amberalexander
5. Do Not Feed Alligator by futurowoman

Later Gator...(oh come no, how could I not!)

Christmas in June

I discovered this weekend that even in June when people shop at a craft fair they are buying gifts for the holidays...so as I already had Santa on my mind I figured I might as well go with it and share these. Ellen Von Unwerth was one of the first photographers who really captured my attention and I have been following her work for years now. There is always an element of sass in her photos that I love.

Dear Mom...

Hi Mom,
So guess what, I just ate the last of my twizzlers! See how good I was, they lasted a month! I think I should be rewarded with another tub *wink*

That dress is taking over my brain!

So I started daydreaming about the dress I blogged about earlier today and I kept thinking of these two photo's I saw that are just like the dress...well lucky for me, they were by an artist whose work I adore and have bought some of , so it was not that hard once I started looking...

Aren't they just luscious?

Some dresses have magic powers

Do you ever have the feeling when you see certain dresses...your breath catches, your heart pounds, you feel lightheaded, your palms start to sweat a bit, your face tingles with pleasure...well this dress did it all for me...and although I know I have no where to wear it, I'm most likely waaaay to short to fit into it and realistically can not afford it, I was still sad that this is from Bazaar Sept '07...meaning I definitely cannot have it.

Now that I think about it, I do however have a wonderful silk embroidered wrap in the same colors, although no black....hmmmm, where is that?

Borrowed Beauty

I have been in a bit of a haze, something I deal with at times. If I would let myself I would prefer to just lie in my bed all day long, but I am up and in my studio...physically anyway...so as I need all the inspiration I can find right now, I set out to find beauty on the Internet. I have been loving etsy recently with its abundance of amazing photographers, if you remember back to My Favorite Wall of Photographs I love them in my home too. So todays theme is beauty...

1. Start Where You Are by irenesuchocki
2. Pink Dahlia Through the Viewfinder by ScarletBeautiful2

Night at the movies

I love Adam Sandler. He has been on the top if my list as far back as I can remember...Cajun man started it all when I was a Junior in high school. I make sure I see every single one of his movies in the theatre and last night I saw You Don't Mess With The Zohan...so good. I needed to laugh, it was like two hours of therapy, he never lets me down.

Happy Father's Day!

As I couldn't sit in a car for 11 hours with you and then reorganize your pantry (her idea I swear!) like I did with mom for Mother's Day, I figured I could at least blog about you! We had a long and lovely conversation on the phone and we'll have a nice visit this summer, as I promise I will make it up to NH to see you...but I thought it would be nice to share with the world this photo of me and you, back in the day. Happy Father's Day, I Love You Dad!

Allium on my mind

I have mentioned before that I am lucky enough to live in a house where the gardens are well tended and flourish much of the year and you have seen the photos...well today after taking a lame photo of the awesome Allium blooming outside (see my photo above), I decided to share some pictures of allium that actually look good...all found on Etsy today.

I used to have a big bouquet of dried allium, but they did not survive the last move...maybe I'll have to rescue the ones in thegarden when they go to seed...I almost prefer them dried.
